Stockton Borough Council commissions Bridge House through Housing Related Support to deliver short term housing related support to enable vulnerable adults, to gain and maintain suitable sustainable accommodation
NHS England, Bridge House and other regional organisations are collaborating to find the best way forward for Hepatitis C treatments within our client group.
CGL delivers drug services and alcohol services across the country. They work in partnership with Bridge House and their residents in preventative measures, reducing risk and minimising harm. This partnership has directly saved residents lives and has had a huge impact on the service Bridge House provides.
James Cook University Hospital allows Bridge House to have a fast track referral system for HIV and Hepatitis C.
Bridge House has released the Local Learning Partnership initiative. This is a consortium of local accommodation based services who deal with the same client group. The groups objective is to work together to promote the health, wellbeing and prosperity of homeless individuals.
Virgin Care have made it possible for Bridge House to hold Sexual Health Clinics on site. We are able to test for HIV, AIDS, Hepatitis C, Syphilis, Chlamydia, Gonorreah and Pregnancy and provide condoms to residents.
The Legal and Clerical project works in close partnership with Cleveland Police. Offenders, offending patterns and behaviours are shared, with the intention of reducing local crime rates.
Community Campus runs a variety of projects focused on young person centred development, and on housing services for the homeless. Bridge Houses' Move On project partners with this organisation to acquire accommodation for independent living.
Bridge House places emphasis on enabling our doctors of tomorrow understanding patients with multiple complex needs. To such ends Durham School of Medicine have placed year 1 medical students at Bridge House for their Community Placement for many years. We also facilitate students studying units in Difficult and Deprived Areas, and post graduates studying for their Masters Degree in Global Policy. Previous students have won awards for their placement work at Bridge House.
A Way Out are an outreach and prevention charity, specialised in engaging vulnerable and hard to reach women and young people. Bridge House work closely with Away Out to support our female residents.
Bridge House is working within the Psychologically Informed Environment (PIE) framework. A PIE is one that takes into account the psychological makeup - the thinking, emotions, personalities and past experience - of its participants in the way that it operates. At Bridge House all staff are trained in psychological concepts and deliver Theory Based Practice.
North East Hearts with Goals was started by 2 sisters in law Kelly Best & Christine Stephenson in March 2013. They place lifesaving defibrillators into public places such as schools, colleges and sports clubs. Many local celebrities such as Ant & Dec and Alan Shearer support the Charity. We are extremely lucky to be supported by NE Hearts with Goals, and have had one of their defibrillators placed with us!
The Health, Fitness and Leisure project has partnered with Everyone Active, to improve the health and wellbeing of the residents.
Middlesbrough Football Club Foundation has been a huge help in inspiring residents to be passionate about football and to help take their minds off their everyday problems. Residents have been committed to this partnership and enjoyed opportunities from playing at Middlesbrough Riverside Stadium to being part of the England Homeless World Cup, and travelling to Chile to represent England.
Bridge House works exceptionally closely with local Probation Services. Every Wednesday DTV Probation run sessions from Bridge House, and daily updates are maintained. This helps to support the residents and enable them to stop offending.
All residents at Bridge House are in receipt of Benefits. The partnership with Job Centre Plus is vital, to ensure our vulnerable residents are correctly paid.
Lifeline is a registered Charity and registered Company with forty years experience of managing drug and alcohol services and criminal justice expertise. Lifeline and Bridge House have worked in partnership for many years.
TACT - Therapy And Counselling Teesside, work with Bridge House to think of innovative ways to engage with residents and improve their mental wellbeing. TACT also works with staff, to help them understand human behaviour, and to contribute to the Psychologically Informed Environment (PIE) at Bridge House.
Design Hub, based in Saltburn-by-the-Sea, run creative art & crafts workshops for all. Funded through the Arts Council, residents at Bridge House are lucky enough to work with Lucy and have had their work on exhibition in The Shambles.
Homeless Link is the only national charity supporting people and organisations working directly with homeless people in England. They represent homelessness organisations among local, regional and national government. As the national collaborative hub for information and debate on homelessness, they seek to improve services for homeless people and to advocate policy change.
