Where we can, we aim to provide social activities to enable our residents to improve social skills, help with recovery and assist with their support which we hope will help them with moving on to live independently.
External trips away from the house can be beneficial for those struggling with boredom, mental health and substance misuse by occupying their time and give them something else to focus on.
Over the summer and with the amazing weather we have had we have managed to get out of the house and take some of our residents for days out to the beach along with some fishing trips.
We have been able to make use of our courtyard and encourage some physical activity including badminton alongside barbecues. We have also had the privilege of introducing yoga on a weekly basis which has been well attended.
We hope that all of the above will help our residents in some way and we will continue to provide those activities as part of the support at Bridge House.
