Durham University Medical Student Placement

Each year at Bridge House we attend at Durham University Medical Placement Fair where we speak to medical students about the service that we provide.

Our attendance at the fair is to help medical students decide if they would like to take up their placement with Bridge House during their first year at University. This placement is vitally important to the students in working with the community in order to gain an in-depth understanding of what we provide and how we work with our residents.

During 2015 we had two first year medical students, Bilal and Sammy who spent the year at Bridge House on placement. Both students took some important information away with them and felt they gained a vast amount of knowledge and insight into the lifestyles in which some of our residents lead.

All the staff and residents at Bridge House enjoyed Bilal and Sammy spending their placement with us and we would like to wish them well in their future in the medical profession.

Of course, we could not let them leave without a little reminder of the staff at Bridge House.
