TACT Provides Excellent Training to Support Staff at Bridge House

Bridge House is a Psychologically Informed Environment (PIE), using Trauma Informed Care (TIC) to support our clients. In simple terms this means we understand our clients and what makes them behave and present in the ways that they do.

Both PIE and TIC aim to improve the psychological and emotional well-being of people both accessing and working in Bridge House. We never stop learning in this area and constantly strive to improve our knowledge.

We had a fantastic training day on Wednesday, learning more about ‘attachment theory’ and how we can better understand how our clients were effected by childhood experiences.

Thank you to Therapy and Counselling Teesside (http://www.tact-ltd.co.uk/) for teaching us so well, and to Zoe from New Walk, Luke from Stockton Borough Council Housing Dept, Nathan from Cleveland Police and Tom from Public Health South Tees for joining us.
